Shredded Turkey & Pinto Bean Burritos

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon of candola oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon of ground chumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chile powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 ounce of diced tomatoes with green chillies
  • Whole-wheat flour tortilla or wraps
  • ¾ cups of grated cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded green cabbage




Procedure:
  • Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add onion and cook, stir for 2 minutes or until it gets softened a bit.
  • Stir it in chili powder, garlic and cumin and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add to it tomatoes and limejuice.
  • Allow this mixture to boil.
  • Reduce heat to simmer and cook until the onions becomes soft that is for about 16 to 20 minutes.
  • Stir in turkey and beans.
  • Continue to cook until the mixture gets heated for about another three/five minutes.
  • Divide the turkey bean mixture among wraps.
  • Top with cabbage and cheese.
  • Roll them into burritos.
  • Serve.
