Awadhi Cuisine

Awadh is acknowledged as a region in the middle of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Formerly, before independence, the region of Awadh was called as the United Provinces of Oudh and Agra. Awadh is often called by several names such as Oundh, Oudh or Oude. Lucknow has been acknowledged as the traditional capital of Awadh. The region of Awadh consists of several districts which are Bahraich, Ambedkar Nagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Balrampur, Lucknow, Rai Bareilly, Sitapur, Shravasti, Unnao, Faizabad and Sultanpur.
